- At the Altisian Embassy, the party schedules a meeting with the Altisian Ambassador, before speaking with a magical talking cat Binks
- The Party offers Binks with sponsorship to the Altisian College of Wizardry in return for work at Schmied Mead
- At the Museum of Constanbul, The Party speaks with the main patron Katherine von Ringkobing and the lead investigator Demetrios Papadopolos
- Investigation reveals that the item, a non-magical compass, was stolen through the 9th level spell time-stop by Gurpo
